In 2005, the Christian Vision Academy (CVA) launched the “Journey in the Wilderness” program to reach out to the Jemez and Navajo Native Americans. In the beginning, our program focused on the Korean American second generation youth to commit to spreading the Good News to Native American brothers and sisters. As the program expanded, we began to focus more on serving Navajo children and youth to become future spiritual leaders for the Navajo Nation and the world at large. For Navajo children and youth, CVA provides after school programs, counseling, leadership summer camp and vacation Bible school in cooperation with the Korean American churches. Our adult programs focus on worship, small groups, and senior center programs. In addition, we are planning for a comprehensive school for the arts for Navajo children and youth.

Navajo youths were invited to the camp free of charge except the registration fee of $20 for two weeks program. Every session, about ten Navajo youths joined the camp with Korean youths to serve God and Native American community.
Two weeks of Summer Mission Camp helps to build and nurture the young Navajo Christian leaders. The 70 acre facility of Christian Vision Academy is equipped with sanctuary, cabins, and also camping ground surrounded by beautiful Santa Fe National Forest.
